Mr. Michael Findley's Obituary
Michael John Findley, age 70, of Nashville, passed away on October 14, 2016. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, moved to Nashville in 1989.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents John and Florence Findley of Memphis, Tennessee, and leaves his wife of 40 years, Jo Evelyn, and two sons, Michael John II (Mary Forest) and Scott Morrison Findley. He also leaves one brother Richard (Pat) and has one deceased brother John (Kay) and sister Elizabeth Cox (Paul).
Michael served in Vietnam as a first lieutenant from October 1968 to October 1969, earning the Bronze Star for meritorious service. He graduated from Tulane University in 1967 having lettered four years on the football team. Michael was a medical surgical products sales representative for 42 years earning National Sales Representative of the year for Mentor Corporation.
Michael’s hobby was his family, and He devoted every ounce of energy to his wife Jo and two sons Michael and Scott. His life reflected his priorities of God, family and job, with his share of successes and failures along the way.
There will be a private graveside ceremony at the Middle Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 1:00 PM in Pegram, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, please send any contribution to St. Jude’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
