When I first met Nina, I said "I hear you're a quilter". She invited me to come look at her quilts and I stayed all afternoon. I told her I'd give anything to make a quilt like these and she said "well you can, and I will help you" She loved to teach, and I was a willing student. It was a match made in heaven. We spent untold hours looking at patterns, fabrics, going to quilt shops, sewing together and sharing ideas. When the new Community Center opened in Millersville, she and I started a "Sit & Stitch" that is still going today. I have her to thank for starting me on such a rewarding hobby, and for the many lifelong friends we've met along the way. I will miss Nina terribly, but I'm glad she is out of the pain and suffering she had here on earth. I'm sure her sewing room in heaven is fabulous!
Nina was my friend and mentor. She loved quilting , flowers, birds, and Sammy! She shared her quilting secrets and life philosophy. We spent several hours watching quilting shows. I will miss her very much. Love and peace that only God can give is sent to her family! God be with you all.ππππππ
