I worked with Phil for many years. He was always the consummate gentleman. I never saw him waiver from his Christian principles, and that made him stand out from many at his level. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

I did not know Phil very well while he was working at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. However, I considered Phil a very welcome retiree member of our golf league. I was glad to see him return to play with us for the last couple of seasons, and I'm sure that he's playing on the most beautiful fairways and greens now.
Both Phil and Donna contributed greatly to many fond memories in my youth at Pennington Bend Church of Christ. The world lost a fine man with Phil's passing. It's been approximately 42 years since the days when our church's youth would spend Sunday afternoons at your house, but I've never forgotten the great times we shared with your family. I extend my prayers for Donna, children and extended family. He was a special man that touched quite a few lives.

Donna and Family, It has been a joy to keep in touch with occasional cards and visits through the years. My memories start in Memphis when Phil was a baby and yearly family visits occurred during our early years . Martha, thank you for your call on Saturday. May God comfort you in this time of grief.
