Mr. Phil Mitchell's Obituary
Phil Mitchell age 79 of Antioch passed away Friday March 11, 2016. Born January 2, 1937 in Memphis, he was the son of the late Ernest and Sarah Massey Mitchell. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; Roy Mitchell, Kermit Mitchell and a sister; Nita Phillips.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of 54 years; Donna Mitchell, three daughters; Kathryn (Andy) Woodard, Martha Mitchell, Helen (Tony) Ratliff, and five grandchildren; Hannah Woodard, Nathan Woodard, Anthony Ratliff, Justin Ratliff and Olivia Ratliff.
Mr. Mitchell was of the Church of Christ faith and was a U. S. Navy veteran.
Visitation will be 4:00pm to 8:00pm Monday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00am Tuesday with visitation one prior at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Brother Allan Hutchinson officiating. Interment will follow at The Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Anthony Ratliff, Justin Ratliff, Nathan Woodard, Tony Ratliff, Andy Woodard and Jason Bussell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Sims, Steve Gill and Nick Nixon. Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery is honored to serve the Mitchell family. 615-865-1101.
