Philip H. Weinert's Obituary
Philip H. Weinert, 82, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Louise Frazier Weinert, daughters, Charlotte Weinert and Margaret Minor, and three siblings, Patricia L. McGann, Margaret M. Cliner and Kenneth B. Weinert.
He is survived by his sister, Paula M D'Amato, daughters, Cynthia Y. New (John) and Linda L. Kennedy (Steve), six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a close friend, Diane.
Mr. Weinert proudly served in the US Air Force for 22 years. He was a member of Post 88 and a member for many years of Ascension Lutheran Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 15 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Greg Bauch on Friday, September 16 at 12:00 pm also at the funeral home. The committal service will immediately follow across the street at Nashville National Cemetery. The pallbearers will be his grandsons, Joel Minor, Jeremiah Minor, Will Weaver, Dylan Weaver, Bradley Weaver, Colton Weaver, Bobby Martin, Britt Sullivan and Daniel Messer along with three honorary pallbearers, John Boggs, Tim Hanusa and Dennis Fritz.
