Rachael Elizabeth Israel, 52, of Nashville, Tennessee, went home to be with God on Sunday, July 19, 2020. Born January 31, 1968 in Skokie, Illinois, she was the daughter of Dorothy Louise Brassard Wiegert and the late Arnold Edwar Read Obituary
Rachael was a warm, creative spirit. She loved to make people smile and would do anything for anyone. She was there in some of my times of need and I know for many others. She was there and you never had to ask. Those type of people are extremely rare these days. You will be truly missed Rachael. I will have several memories of our deep conversations. Thank you for being there when you didn't have to be.

Rachael was an amazing person and co-worker at Brookdale. I only knew her for two years but during that time she showed me that kindness heals all things. Every time I was having a bad day she would offer her kind words and tea, cant forget about the tea. We became friends over the course of two years and i will deeply miss her and wish she was still here. Praying for the family members and sending my deepest sympathies.
Heaven has truly gained angel.
I met Rachel at Brookdale and was immediately touched by her warm and caring nature.
I am sad that she didn't get to return to her family in Florida and I pray for their comfort. I also pray for the comfort of her Brookdale family who will miss her greatly.
Rachel, I’m going to miss you so much. We had some fun times together at Brookdale and outside of work. I know you’re where God needs you to be and that we will see each other again. I remember when you were selling your beautiful jewelry at work how I just fell I love with all those special pieces you made, and you laughed at me and thought I was silly for not being able to decide. I’m so honored and grateful that I had purchased some pieces from you and every time I wear something you made or what you gave me for my birthday, I will treasure it with all my heart and think of you. You were there for me Rachel as well as Sherry when no one else was when I worked at Brookdale, you fought for the underdog when you saw injustice. You surprised me with you’re fun humor and how easy it was to talk to you and to get to know you. You were always kind and sweet to me and I’m so blessed that I got to know you and that we became friends. I remember after I moved to the west coast and we spoke how cool you thought it was that we were both going to be living by the beach, me here and you in Florida. I’m heart broken to know that that dream didn’t happen for you. Perhaps you’re there now with your family enjoying that beautiful beach .. I’d like to think so. I want to thank you for showing me all your creativity and kindness and honesty and humor, It’s been a pleasure to know you and I’m going to miss you dearly, you made an imprint in my life and on my heart that will forever be cherished. I look forward to seeing you again.
Rachael was a trooper. She loved life with everything inside of her. She's been through so much physically and emotionally within the last 10 years especially. Rachael was the first person that I met when I first moved to Tennessee back in 1994. Through the years we've had many laughs as well as cried tears together too. Through the years she overcame so much.
If it wasn't for Rachael, I wouldn't be working at Brookdale Senior Living. I'm so grateful.
Rachael loved deeply and was such a compassionate giver. She was very creative and one of her passions was writing. She was A GREAT inspiration to all who knew her.

May God bring you gladness for your mourning, may He give you comfort and bring you His greatest joy for your sorrow. I pray He heals your broken hearts and binds up all your wounds. Rachael was a precious soul who loved deeply and well and shared her extraordinary artistic skills with so many, including my husband and mother in their last days. She made lovely crosses and jewelry, which are now treasures. We hang the crosses on our Christmas tree each year. One year, she traveled to Israel ( after my husband's death) and brought me a beautiful vase the Israelis use to hold their tears! Now this vase will hold some of my tears for Rachael. While we grieve her loss, we rejoice that she is pain-free and living more fully than ever in the Presence of her beloved Lord and Savior.
Praying for family members, Rachel will be missed here with us.
Rest in peace sweet cousin...my deepest sympathies to the rest of the family. I love you all.
My sister was one of the best people I will ever know. She had the kindest heart and so much compassion for everyone around here. My other sister Sheryl and I are so completely lost right now without her. Our phones aren’t ringing, we aren’t getting silly memes, and we aren’t hearing her voice anymore.
The love and care we feel from so many around us is extraordinary. We are so very blessed that so many people love our family, and love our sweet, sweet sister Rachael. Thank you to each and every person that loved our sister all thru her life.
