Richard and his cousin Michael grew up together, as Gwen aka Aunt Deanie was their family babysitter. I have heard many a story of Richard, Russell and Michael having bb gun fights, playing ball with the neighborhood gang. Once they made their own mini golf course. And not to mention some kind of trouble involving a gas can in the shed where the mower was. Richard spoke his mind and stood up for his beliefs. I remember when he told us he had received a job offer in Tennessee. We thought that was so far away and wished he didn't have to go. Seemed like only a short time later he told us of a girl he had met. We hoped she was the one. When we finally were able to meet her, we knew he had found his soul mate. Lisa was his perfect match. She was pretty, kind, friendly and welcomed us all.
It just doesn't seem real that our Richard is gone. But we find comfort in knowing that he is at peace and with the Lord.
Lisa, words cannot express our sorrow for the loss of our dear Richard. We love you and your girls. Know that you have an army of support at your finger tips. God bless.
