Ricky was a man of great common sense. That is a trait that is increasingly rare today in a culture that struggles to know good from evil and right from wrong. He was also a man of great compassion as is evident from the good works he was endlessly doing for and with his family, friends, church, and even strangers through missions like Room In the Inn. Ricky was also a man of great faith as both Ricky and Brenda had been tested physically, and spiritually and emerged unshaken. Finally, but not least, Ricky was a man of few words. I know after his throat cancer it was more difficult for Ricky to speak. But he just never seemed to be a man of words to me. He was more a man of action. And because of this, when Ricky did speak, you took notice and listened. Thank you Ricky for your friendship, love, and wisdom.
