He was one of the most wonderful, kind, caring, Christian men I knew. His life protrayed exactly what God commands us to do/be.... like Jesus. He had a huge heart for his family and friends and people in general, he was always helping others out and offering his help anyway he could. He had a heart for and like Jesus and it showed. I know I will see him again one day and I know right now he is home with our heavenly Daddy, praising Him and Jesus, and that he is reaping his GREAT eternal rewards for the work he did here on this earth for God because of his huge heart!

Roy Batey was the best Christian man that my husband and I have ever known. He lived what he believed and was such an inspiration to everyone he came in contact with. He was even a topic of a sermon when our pastor had played golf with him! He didn't just talk the talk, but walked the walk. One thing we know without a doubt is that he is safe in the arms of Jesus right this minute. He and his wife Betty, are the best friends that we have ever had.

Roy was one of the most Christlike men I've known. My picture of him is a quiet servant who continually gave of himself for the good of God's kingdom and his fellow man. He was an example to me from my earliest memories as a boy.

My heart goes out to Betty, Kelly and Ken, but this separation will be temporary. Of this I am sure.

Betty, Words cannot express how is feel about the passing of your husband, Roy. I feel like I know him personally by listening to you talk about him, expressing your memories and stories and laughing together as we talked about the antics both of our husbands. He will surely be missed.

Roy was my boss a couple of different times at Murphy Oil Corporation. He was kind, supportive and understanding. He got perturbed with me a few times (but most of my bosses did) but in the end we were respectful of each other's capabilities. I know he has had a few complicated years for himself and his family. A lot of friends and family will miss him as he did leave his mark on those around him. Condolences to you all.
