I will always know him as grandad, because upon marrying Matthew, his grandson, grandad asked me point blank-" Well, what are you going to call me now?" This was almost 18 years ago, but I said.."Grandad??" He smiled, laughed softly and said - good answer! I'll miss how he called me "Teach" due to my profession. Peace be with you and your bride, Grandmother, Dot, your love, together again. We love you!
Sam Leftwich was a positive influence on those fortunate to know him. A Christian, a gentle man with the inner strength of an oak tree and whose love for his family and fellow man was reflected in his smile and the twinkle in his eyes. A man to emulate.

Met Sam & Dot when we began attending Madison First Christian. Quickly came to love and admire both of them. Enjoyed many SS classes, church meetings and dinners with them there. Both were kind and gentle people who manifested the conduct and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord...." Rev 14:13.
