I so loved "Uncle Dr. Ted! I met him thru both his sister "Miss Katherine" and his niece Miss Ann West, my dear sweet friend. Dr. George is undoubtedly the most brilliant man I have ever known and yet never once talked down to me. He had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in kindly teasing "literal" me! He reminded me of the good things I loved about my Dad and thought me quite wonderful for playing Bluegrass Mandolin. I will cherish his memory and delight in my belief that he is now joyfully dancing in air with
"Miss Katherine" in the Great Beyond

The first (and last) time I met dr. Ted it was with my dear friend Ann, in the home he was then staying. He made an unforgettable impression for his mental strength and his appealing wit. I'm very sorry I won't be able to meet with him again but I wish him a journey I would wish for myself. I will always remember him.

Ted will be missed by all his friends at the Centennial Sportsplex Water Aerobics class that he attended for many years. His smile, bright personality and friendships will always be remembered. RIP dear friend!

I am so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. He was such a sweet man. I was in water aerobics class with him and my husband enjoyed talking to him at the sports center. One day I overheard him mention to someone that he was from Petersburg and told him so was my father. It turned out that he went to school with my father and knew some of my relatives. He was such a joy to be around and talk to and was truly missed when he had to stop coming for health reasons. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
