Mrs. Virginia Reeves Cline's Obituary
Virginia Reeves Cline, 97, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Born June 24, 1925, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late John Douglas Reeves and Zella Mae Jacobs Reeves.
She was a member of Isaac Litton High School’s 1943 graduating class. She was a longtime member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church and was proud of the fact that she was one of the church’s oldest living members. Virginia was a longtime beautician in the Nashville area, retiring at the age of 85. Her family will remember her as a fiercely independent woman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years O.J. Cline; son John Daniel Cline; brother John Douglas Reeves II.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Paul) Knowles and Melissa (Kenneth, Sr.) Steely; grandchildren Tony, Tracy, Lisa, Lee and Brian; great grandchildren Taylor, Emily, Chelsea, Ronnie, Tricia, Brenna, Macy, Spencer, and Austin; great great grandchildren Khloe, Kallie, Sadie, Braedon, Sawyer, Noah, and Robyn.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 1 PM until 3 PM. A graveside service will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery and will be officiated by Reverend Jay Voorhees.
