Mrs. Virginia Maxine Kemmerly's Obituary
Virginia Maxine Kemmerly (“Max”) passed away peacefully after a long illness on her 80th birthday, February 18, 2014, and has gone to glory to get a well-deserved rest. Born in 1934 in Irvine, KY, to Dewey and Lottie Whitaker. Maxine proudly practiced nursing for many years, and in 1962 she became a nurse anesthetist and worked at John Gaston and E. F. Crump Hospitals in Memphis. She married Paul C. Kemmerly in 1970, moving to Nashville, TN, and then to Beersheba Springs, TN, in retirement. She is survived by her loving children, Jack and Debbie Marnhout, Richard and Jane Marnhout, Rebecca and John Edmondson, Adam and Julie Kemmerly, Todd and Natalie Kemmerly, Ross and Nancy Kemmerly, and Kevin Kemmerly; beloved sister Peggy Brown and family; devoted companions Sheila Jackson and Anne Tolliver; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24th, from 4-8 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25th, at 11:00 A.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Clayton Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
