Dearest Betsy, Phyllis, Wilburn, Jr., Mike and Phil, My heart is filled with loving memories of Miss Vivian....She added a bright twinkle in so many lives!!! Please know my thoughts are with you all today. Love, Judy Evans Weiss
Sending our sincere condolences. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared by you, comfort you now and in the days ahead. One of my favorite scriptures is Job 14:14,15. which reads If an able man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, until my relief comes, You will call and I shall answer you. Under God's Kingdom in the hands of Christ Jesus the king, there will be no more death, pain,or suffering.Rev.21:3,4.
Our thoughts are with you.
From the time I was a child, my family and I would buy our flowers at Bates Florist. We lived on Greenland. Easter corsages, mother's day flowers, corsages or wristlets for piano recitals, and, of course, corsages for proms and dances over at Isaac Litton High School would all come from Bates. Ms. Vivian was a foundation of our Inglewood community, along with her family. She is remembered with great fondness.

Mrs. Bates was always smiling and happy when we were in her shop, at Garden Club or church. We have lost a dear friend.
